Colin Archer 33 – a truly tough, charming, and safe yacht, even for long offshore passages.
Colin Archer’s world-renowned design is based on the Norwegian long-keeled pilot and rescue boats of the “koster” type, where seaworthiness is the top priority.
The boat was built at the small but well-respected Framboat yard in Finland.
Its solid construction and practical solutions make sailing a pleasure, even in heavy weather.
Below deck, you’re greeted by a beautiful, functional, and cozy interior with many classic details.
The saloon features a spacious seating area around a large table, and along the starboard side is a well-equipped galley.
In the forepeak and on both sides aft, there are small cabins with berths for 1–2 persons each.
The toilet is located to port, forward of the saloon, and there’s a small chart table aft.
The cockpit and deck layout are designed for safe sailing, with robustly dimensioned fittings.
The double headsail setup allows for a variety of sail combinations to suit all wind conditions, and the windvane steering tirelessly keeps the course during long offshore passages.
This Colin Archer 33 has been extensively updated over the years, including the engine, rig, electrical system, interior etc.
A condition survey will be carried out during autumn 2025.
The boat is currently laid up for the winter in Helsinki - Finland, and can be delivered ready to sail in spring 2026.
